Ventbags Review

Ohm My Hell's Review of the "Ventbag" is provided by @docmodeceus and @ventbags

Any true vaper has had problems lugging their gear around. Too many bottles of juice, too many spare batteries, too many tools, and other vape related items. Ventbags has designed a solution to the problem facing vapers everywhere in the form of a tablet sleeve, a satchel and a backpack.

The material that the bags are made of and the zippers that hold it all together are durable and light weight. The stitching is well done and holds the weight of what ever is put inside.

The satchel vent bag Comfortably fits 4-6 bottles of juice, 5 batteries, 2 single tube mods, one box mod, an iPad, miscellaneous tools, cotton, wire, ohms reader, etc. and can hold more though becomes somewhat bulky if there's too much extra stuffed in there.. like a 9mm handgun.

The vent bag provides a simple solution to the bulkiness of vape accessories and materials that one may have a need to carry around. In the future we would like to see a bit wider bottom, and zippers that unzip below the bottom curve to allow it to lay flat on any surface.

We're looking forward to see what they come up with in the future!

Thanks from Mike & the OMH Team,

"G Mod" - Square 18650 by G-Modz

This is our review of the "G Mod" and is graciously provided by @g_modz.

The G Mod is a single tube 18650 that comes with an extremely small hybrid connected RDA.  The first and most important thing to make note of is the ingenuity behind the design of the G Mod.  From drip tip to button, the entire mod has been meticulously crafted to push the limits of just how compact a single tube 18650 can possibly be.

We'll start by going over the battery housing before we progress to the RDA.  The housing is quite simple.  It's a steel that's been expertly milled and finely engraved. The hardware is overall fairly heavy, and has a terrific feel in your hand.  The threading is crisp in both the 510 connection and the button connection.

The button is uniquely designed with a 1/2 collapsible ring that recesses into the button when not in use.  This feature in essence gives the user the same slim, spring loaded style button as a SMPL mod, but without the pesky need to have a coin on you at all times in order to gain access to the battery.  The adjustment ring also gives the user a way to firmly secure the button in place with relation to the battery, again reducing the overall size of the mod.  The throw on the button was not as smooth as we would have expected, with a light feeling of abrasion upon applying pressure.  With the feel of the throw aside, the button performed if not with buttery smoothness, then perfect functionality.  There has been, throughout the course of the reviews process, no issues with "hot button" or finding the perfect "sweet spot" in order to fire the build at 100% power 100% of the time.

Now we get to the best part: the RDA.  The G Mod comes with an RDA that is so full of innovative features, it was difficult to thoroughly document all of them.  The first thing any user or bystander is going to notice about the mod is the sleekness of the design and how well the cap, RDA, and mod all flow in sync with each other.

Starting from the bottom up, the build fastening screws are unique in that the outer posts are held in place from the bottom(see photo), which reduces the room needed to place the cap on.  The second thing to notice is that the screws are all deep etched Philips Head screws meaning that you don't have to tinker around with the tiny screwdrivers that some RDA's require you to use.  This allows you to firmly secure your builds with larger, every day use screwdrivers that have more torque potential.

The outer post holes aren't so much "holes" as they are slots which actually is quite useful.  Instead of threading builds through holes you can simply slide the build in sideways after threading the center post. (see photo) Which brings us to our next topic of discussion, the center post.

The center post is unique in that it actually has guides for each separate side which means no more crossing wires within the center post if it's not a dual post hole. (see photo) The one drawback we found to the center post is that if you have a complex build that's too thick to fit, well dear reader, you're SOL.

Moving upward you're going to hit the top cap and the Airflow Control (AFC) ring at the same time.  Again the cap of the RDA is built to be completely flush with the rest of the mod, giving the G Mod a unique aesthetic appeal.  A bonus to the cap being square is that you can easily sub out a box mod for a terrific looking shorty RDA.  Atop the cap is sitting a butterfly AFC ring which is held firmly in place inside the top of the cap.  The ring can be adjusted to increase or decrease airflow dependent upon personal preference.  The AFC is dual sided (see photo) which means that any action reducing or increasing air flow on one side is mirrored on the other.  One suggestion we would like to make for future models is that a single side AFC ring be included with the setup for those users who prefer a single coil set up.  Again to reduce size the components have been fitted in such a way that they essentially sit within one another.

Going upwards the final level, you're going to finish the setup with the top cap which sits over the base and AFC ring.  Now at this point you'll want to notice that there are no air holes on the side of the base of the RDA, nor are there any holes underneath, the design of the top cap is somewhat ingenious.  The corners that sit flush with the exterior of the mod are actually milled out past the 22mm center that actually houses the RDA and to the edges leaving a gap for air to enter, pass your adjusted AFC ring and rush past the coils then exit through a 510 compatible mouth piece.  The mouth piece, though metal, never seemed to get hot even after extended periods of use which pleasantly surprised the full team.  We found that it did have a decent amount of airflow, however being the cloud chasers that most of the team are we do wish there could be a second top cap that allows a bit more airflow. All personal preferences aside, the G Mod was easily able to produce large clouds which would leave us to categorize it as more of a cloud chaser as opposed to a flavor chaser RDA with the AFC at full open.

We thoroughly enjoyed the G Mod, and were pleasantly amused when we realized that the overall height was actually less than the 30ml bottle it was sitting next to.  The quality of the materials and ability to stand up to wear and tear made it a terrific daily vaper.  The aesthetics made it something unique, and an easy conversation starter with any avid vaper.  We'd again like to thank G-Modz for allowing us to review their mods without any stipulations and we are happy that we were able to provide an unbiased positive review to help out the vaping community in their decisions.

Upsides:
Small Size
Quality and Durablity
Weight
Aesthetics
RDA Design
Hybrid Connection: Hits Hard

Downsides:
No option to run single coils
No way to increase airflow

Still Chuck Drip Tip Review

Still Chuck Drip Tip Review:This review provided by @stillchuckinnovations

The first thing we'd like to say is that Nick the owner does what he does with passion. He's committed to providing the highest quality drip tips and always improving his products. He showed us the progression in his designs from his initial start up to where he is now, as well as his designs for the future, and one thing's clear. He isn't going to be stopping any time soon.

The machining on the drip tips is phenomenal. Some of the walls on the pressure fit 510 connectors are milled so thin we were worried that they were going to crack, but they did nothing but perform beautifully.

The materials used are something to take note of. One thing everybody hates is the build up of residue on any drip tip, however the polymer just wipes clean with ease, something we noticed through the full line of options.

Still Chuck wants to make his clients happy, whether it's making a new line of drip tips to meet the current trends of the industry, even going so far as to having his customers mail in their RDA's so he can custom make drip tips for them.

We loved the full Still Chuck Line, they've been to date the best drip tip company we've found. We've used quite a few different styles in order to be thorough, but we haven't honestly been able to find anything to critique! We've dropped them without any chipping, and vaped without them overheating. All in all they're built to last and built to look good.

Titanide Phébé Review

This review courtesy of @puffvapors & @titanide

Review of the Phébé 18650 single tube model Titanide.

The Phébé was without a doubt the most luxurious mod we've reviewed to date. From the milled titanium body to the 24k gold plated locking ring, the Phébé screams sophistication. The materials that compose the Phébé create a mod that seems to float effortlessly from hand to lips.

The contacts and locking ring were brass plated worth 24k gold. The outside locking ring is obviously predominantly for looks, however the internal gold plated pieces lead to less volt drop and better conductivity for harder hits and more efficient battery usage. The one thing we would change about the mod is that the top piece has a very hard time adjusting to different center posts of various RDA's. So if your RDA of choice doesn't quite fit there's not a whole lot that can be done for it. The bottom housing is fairly difficult to take apart unless you have tools on hand which poses an issue if you ever need to take it apart for field cleaning or any other reason on the go.

The machining of the Titanide mod is nothing but exceptional. The logo isn't just laser engraved, it's completely hollowed out with no unrefined edges that all come to an almost unbelievably fine point. The threads that attach the top are deep etched, and crafted to precision. The locking ring glides effortlessly from closed to open with a flick of the finger. From top to bottom, all of the components fit together flawlessly.

The button did stick right out of the box, however after a day of breaking it in, it didn't have any issues. We believe it was due to the lubrication inside the button mechanics needing a little love in order to fully cover all of the internals. After the initial break in period though, we were in for a treat. The button may be the best feature of this Titanide model. The finest silk known to man would be considered rough in comparison to the Phébé's button mechanics. When coupled with the extraordinarily light weight of the mod, the buttery smooth switch almost seemed to throw itself. Overall, if you're looking for an authentic mod, that emanates class, you'll want to consider adding Titanide to your collection.

Unregulated Doc Box Review

The Doc Box is an extremely durable box mod that can either be purchased in parallel or series form. As of right now, it's only available for wholesale purchase (www.nursemods.com). We were informed that a consumer based site, or a portion of that site, is currently in the works.

We'd like to start off the review by admiring the powder coating on the Doc Box. Throughout the reviewing process, our boxes with the Black Wrinkle finish have seen their fair share of every day wear and tear. They've survived everything from pockets full of keys & tools, to falling out of cars onto rough asphalt. The bottom line is that they've come out with hardly a scratch on them due to the finish which is not only durable, it looks terrific. The finish options at the moment are as follows: Gold Wrinkle, Black Wrinkle, Red, Standard Black, and a Tiffany Blue finish is in the works.

The wiring in the Doc Box is 12 gauge copper wire, and it's built about as clean as one can possibly ask for. The skill is apparent in the wiring, and the connections are soldered with extreme precision. From the contacts to the 3034 Mosfet and the C&K Tactile switch, the internals were built to perfection.  The throw of the switch was crisp, clean, and gave no guess work as to the firing point when applying pressure. The whole box had a fantastic feel in the hand, and due to the center position of the 510 connector, the ergonomics of the mod extended right to the mouth. The high quality parts and the skill applied at installation meant that both the series and parallel boxes delivered the current directly where it was supposed to go hit after hit for long battery life and safe vaping.

The doors are held on with magnets so that in the event of a venting battery, one is able to toss them as quickly as possible. The inside of the doors are clearly marked with the type of box it is as well as some basic safety limitations on that box, (e.g. Series - .30 or higher / Parallel - .08 or higher). All boxes come with clearly marked positive and negative instructions within the battery sled to again reduce the risk of damages to both the box and the user.

The Doc Box quickly became our unregulated daily vaper, and we don't have any plans in the near future to change that. The Doc Box is a quality instrument, built clearly with the intention to make it simple to use, and safe for the user.  We were told in our interview with "Doc Mod" himself, the simple labeling, quality wiring, and strong magnets that hold the door in place are all part of Doc's goal to help the vaping community "Vape Safer", and they're doing it. They're doing it with style.

Koiler RDA Review

Koiler RDA Review:
This review provided by @koilervapes
https://www.koiler.com

We recently had the honor of reviewing the Koiler RDA. We were impressed with both the quality of the RDA and the company itself, who were incredible people to work with.

The first thing we noticed about the hardware was the level of personalization that can be accomplished with so many different interchangeable pieces. Regardless of what color your mod, you can make this RDA match or compliment your setup. The AFC rings came in red, blue, black, stainless, and polished stainless. In the future, we wouldn't mind seeing copper, Tiffany blue, and white rings as well in order to maximize the potential color combos. The pieces were all high quality metals with high quality finishes.

The Koiler came with 3 drip tips. 1 brushed stainless, 1 black polymer, and 1 white polymer. The stainless does get a bit hot after prolonged use which is, of course, unavoidable with anything metal as it will conduct heat. Both polymers looked great and conducted virtually no heat at all. The mouth feel of the tip was nothing short of amazing. It was large enough to let clouds roll through, but small enough that it felt natural.  We do wish there was a 510 drip tip connector for the RDA for those who prefer to use a standard mouthpiece. The drip tips are equipped with spitback protective mesh, which is something that is seen more and more across the industry, and we couldn't be happier. Koiler is on the leading edge of this new trend which we hope will soon become a standard. All 3 drip tips have a protector that saves you from sizzling juice burning your mouth.

The flavors popped more than other cloud chasing drippers due to the airflow being slightly cut, but it also held its own in blowing thick, dense clouds. As far as the airflow itself is concerned, we had a difficult time finding anything to critique. We did find that the AFC ring had the air holes quite a bit higher than most other RDA's meaning that the coils either need to be elevated in order to receive direct air flow, (leading to long wicks, which may cause issues on a series box which needs a consistent flow of juice or lower Ω builds) or simply accept that the airflow will go over the top. Our coils were well below the airflow, but we still didn't have issues blowing clouds, and the flavor was still better than most cloud chasing RDA's, it simply may be even better if the air blew directly on the coils.

The post holes (2.8mm) were large enough even for more complicated builds. We found this to be one of our favorite features of the RDA. Large holes combined with the four post holes meant that it was capable of handling thick builds with ease. The dual hole center post was solid copper which lead to better conductivity and less volt drop. We do wonder though, with it being copper exposed to wet conditions consistently, how well it will hold against rust. Thus far we have yet to find any issues. A few things that could be improved are that the center post did swivel slightly while tightening, which did add difficulty to securing builds. The screws were deep etched flat heads which did help in tightening, but because the screws were copper, unless you're extremely careful, they're fairly easy to damage or strip, so caution is advised.

Overall this was to date our preferred, and most successful RDA to use on a series box mod, and we highly recommend it. The post holes are large enough to accommodate the high Ω requirements of series builds, the airflow is wide enough to not scorch your throat, the juice wells are deep enough that you have the juice to keep your wick wet, and juice popping is well contained by the spitback protector.

Again, we'd like to thank Koiler for working with us on this review. They sent the RDA setup and care package without any stipulations so that we were able to provide an honest review for all those of you who care enough to read.

Positives:
-Large Post Holes (2.8mm)
-Drip tips have a great mouth feel
-Mesh Spitback Protector
-Customization:
+ 5 colored AFC rings
+ 3 drip tips
-Full Copper Center Post
-4 Post Hole Design
-Cut air flow for good flavor
-Large enough air flow for good clouds
-Great Conductivity

Negatives:
-Metal drip tip does get warm after continued use
-No 510 Drip Tip connector
-No White or Copper or Tiffany Blue AFC Ring
-Center post swivels a bit while tightening builds
-Copper screws can be damaged if not cautious
-Copper housing can be damaged if over-tightened from bottom center pin
-Fairly Expensive for Full Option
+(3 Drip Tip + 5 AFC Ring - $110) ($50 for Single Option)
